Spring Break 2012: Israel

After a busy and fulfilled month of March, my husband, two sons, and I traveled to Israel for Spring Break to visit family and friends.  Arriving in Tel Aviv, Israel, we settled in and immediately began our week journey together.

We stayed in the very cool Hotel Montifiore, a 1920 beautifully restored Bauhaus style building, that is located in the heart of Tel Aviv and holds a hip restaurant and bar. My husband and I, pictured above, sat at the Tel Aviv Promenade, which runs along the Mediterranean seashore, looking over the Jaffa Harbour.  The weather was little cool and windy by the water and we had to wrap up.

Later in the week we ventured to Jerusalem and walked the narrow alleys of Old City Market. The lively market, which is placed inside the walls of the old city has high arches and ceilings, which you can see pictured above.  It presents a wide range of things to purchase including colorful oriental clothing, jewelry and ceramics.  It is one of my favorite places to visit.

Another favorite place was the Dolphin Reef in Eilat, which is located on the shores of the Red Sea. It was amazing to see the dolphins in their natural habitat, and swim next to them.

On our last day, of course the weather was flawless, but it was time to get back to work!  It was a wonderful break shared with family and friends, as well as a great place to find inspiration.  I often find key items to integrate to the next collection!
